"Deliver us from Evil"

In our society, I believe that we need to be delivered from hatred toward others. In our world, there are so many issues involving hatred that erupt into bigger issues such as war, and terrorism. With out hatred toward others, these problems would be eliminated from our society and the world would be at peace.

Jesus' Temptations

There were three temptations that Jesus expierenced in the desert. First the "devil" asks Jesus to turn stones into bread. The second he tells him to throw himself down from a high point of the temple and have God catch him. And finally, to fall at the feet of the devil and worship him. Today in society, a young person has many temptations. Like Jesus, they are tempted to do things that are wrong, and that they know they should not do. Some people give in to these temptations, however others, with the help of God, can overcome the temptations just like Jesus did in the desert.

Blessed Emilian Kovch

After learning about many of the saints from our "Saints Alive" project, I have learned about the many people that have changed our world through the good of God. One that caught my attention was Blessed Emilian Kovch. Kovch sacrificed his life to save innocent Jews in a concentration camp. What inspired me the most was that Kovch was a priest who protected Jews during the Holocaust. When he learned that they were being captured and sent to concentration camps, Kovch began baptizing them as Catholics. He was arrested and sent to a concentration camp where he died in one of the gas chambers. Kovch immitated Jesus in that he sacrificed his own life for others.

STOP KONY 2012

After watching the STOP KONY 2012 video, I can truthfully say that I was moved and inspired to go out and make a difference for the cause. Trying to imagine being kidnapped from my own bed one night, and being forced to do unimaginable things is hard for me to even begin to think about. What truly inspired me to want to be a part of this mission was the boy Jacob. He had been kidnapped by Kony and escaped. His courage and strength is one of the main reasons that we are fighting to capture Kony. By buying a bracelet or a kit, i believe that we can raise enough money for the Uganda military to have enough technology to capture Kony. I believe that if we all come together, the goal of capturing this monster can be achieved.

Mother Tesera Reflection

There are many ways that we can be "carriers of God's love." From watching this movie, I have learned that Mother Teresa is a prime example of carrying God's love. She visited other countries to help the sick, the poor, and the lonely. No matter the age, race, or gender, Mother Teresa helped everyone in every way. One thing I admire the most is that she was not afraid. Not afraid to go to places she had never been before to help other people and spread God's word. I know that I can be a carrier of God's love. By this I do not mean travel the world and help others, maybe someday I can do that but today I can carry God's love in the way that I act and the way that I love. By doing this I know that I will be able to be a carrier of God.


My favorite quote from Mother Teresa is "Good works are links that form a chain of love." To me, this quote means that even from one small act of love, it begins a chain of other acts of love and keeps going. Mother Teresa's kind acts of love are a perfect example. By helping many people in her life, she has touched many hearts. These hearts have Mother Teresa's love and pass the love on forming a chain. Although each act may seem small and unneeded, everything makes a difference. By helping just one person, we can start a chain. That person will help another person, who will help another person. Forming these chains of love can change the world into a better place.

Pray As You Go is an easy and peaceful way to pray each day. Not only is it easy and convenient, but it is also a perfect way to take a little time out of your day for God.
